Vehicle characteristics [Edit]
Standard, the S5 is offered with a six-speed manual gearbox. Since 2008, a six-stage Tiptronic automatic transmission is offered, which, according to the manufacturer reduces fuel consumption by almost two liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions by almost 50 grams per kilometer.
Visually, the S5 is different from the A5 from new bumpers, grille, aluminum-look exterior mirrors and an exhaust system with four tailpipes.
Since 2009, alongside the coupe and a cabriolet and five-door hatchback, called the Sportback will be offered. Compared to the S5 coupe both have a three-liter V6 engine with compressor supercharging and will initially be available only with the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox. Extras [edit]
